Help control AX-18A with Arduino without Shield

Hello everyone,

I am using Dynamixel AX-18A,
And I need some help to control it without a Shield, all I have right now is an Arduino Mega 2560, Arduino Nano and UNO
I am trying to use it as a wheel for a robot. Maybe more in the future.

I saw that is possible to control Ax-12A just with Arduino UNO or Mega, but for some reason I cant get it to work for AX-18A
