Electricity power for 6 axes robot

I make 6 axes robot using 6 servomotor for robot and 1 for gripper:
DYNAMIXEL XM430-W350-T
DYNAMIXEL XM540-W270-T
DYNAMIXEL XM540-W270-T
DYNAMIXEL XM430-W350-T
DYNAMIXEL XC430-w150-T
DYNAMIXEL XC330-M288-T
DYNAMIXEL XM330-M288-T
I use OpenCR1.0 connected to SMPS 12V 5A and raspberry.
Robotis recommand to add 6 Port XM/XL Power Hub (3pin) for power.
but I have some questions…
Do we can connect 20 Amps over + and - of TTL, the servomotor will support that?
I make this configuration with PWM servomotor.
the problem is some servo motor have 4.4Amps, is over the 5 Amps of SMPS
If you recommand to use RS-485 for resolv easier this problem, I will buy the same motor with RS-485

  1. As far as I know, most of electronic device draws current as much as it needs from power source.

  2. Postential error. The “M” Series input voltage is 5V (Recommended). Be extra careful when combining multple DYNAMIXEL running at different voltage (You should give different input voltage, but the data line share)

That’s true, I replace the XC330-M288-T by XC330-T288-T. But I don’t like the 1.6mm bolt with this motor. I will probably change the design of last axe with bigger motor for 2mm bolt.
